For those who have more questions about Google News, we are unable to do one-to-one support. This means we try not to allow duplicate content—which includes scraped, rewritten, or republished material—to perform better than the original content. Be sure to have read the material in this area, in particular the content and technical guidelines. There is a lot of helpful information to consider within the Google News Publisher Help Center. On September 7, 2008, United Airlines, which was the subject of an indexed, archived article, lost and later not quite regained US$1 billion in market value when a 2002 Chicago Tribune article about the bankruptcy filing of the airline in that year appeared in the current “most viewed” category on the website of the Sun-Sentinel, a sister paper.
Tip To check what is the found feed’s name just check the title under the feed dictionary The only change is that each dictionary under entries also contains sub_articles which are the similar articles found in the description. If Google captured fewer than 100 articles over the past hour, you should be able to retrieve all of them. Phrase searches are particularly useful if you are searching for famous quotes or proper names.”

The tool will recommend relevant articles, analyse sentiment around different topics and formats, and support better editorial decisions. The system identifies at-risk readers and recommends stories most likely to bring them back, enabling timely, personalised outreach to strengthen the reader revenue that sustains independent journalism. Civio, a Spanish non-profit newsroom focused on government transparency and accountability, will develop an AI back-office assistant for small newsrooms where supporter relationships are essential but time is scarce. “We’re excited to see what comes from the broad range of innovative ideas proposed by these 12 winning publishers,” said Matt Cooke, Head of Ecosystem Investment Programs, Google News Partnerships. The 12 publishers selected for the 2025 JournalismAI Innovation Challenge, supported by the Google News Initiative programme.

Google announced that it would instead focus on “Google One Pass, a platform that enables publishers to sell content and subscriptions directly from their own sites”. These pages indicated that the search covered “Any time”, but did not include the archive and only included recent news. In early 2010, Google removed direct access to the archive search from the main Google News page, advanced news search page and default search results pages.
Google News index’s next pass found the link as new news, and Income Security Advisors found the Google result to be new news, which was passed along to Bloomberg News, where it was briefly a current headline and very widely viewed. In August 2011, the “News Archive Advanced Search” functionality was removed entirely, again generating complaints from regular users who found that the changes rendered the service unusable. This redesign engendered significant complaints from regular users of the service. The service has been integrated with Google Search History since November 2005. Users used to be able to customize https://checamos.afp.com/nenhuma-lei-dinamarquesa-obriga-os-agricultores-ter-5-da-terra-com-flores-para-abelhas the displayed sections, their location on the page, and how many stories are visible with a JavaScript-based drag and drop interface.
“We believe we’ve been able to identify the shooter,” RCMP Superintendent Ken Floyd said at an evening news conference. The shooter was also found dead, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the agency said. Such statements are based on current expectations, estimates, projections and assumptions, describe opinions about future events, involve certain risks and uncertainties which are difficult to predict and are not guarantees of future performance. This powerful platform significantly improves success rates while reducing development time and costs. When integrated into ChemPass AI™, these agents are designed to automate and scale key discovery processes, enable large-scale parallel molecular exploration, shorten design–make–test–analyze cycles, and improve the accuracy and success rate of designing small-molecule based products.
There have been growing reports of Google Pixel users experiencing Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth issues after a January 2026 update. “Vibe coding,” as it’s come to be known, is exactly what you can do with Nothing’s new “Essential Apps,” which lets you create homescreen widgets, “apps,” using text prompts and the help of AI – but I’m not fully sold just yet. One of the places AI has really made an impact is on app coding, opening new doors both for professionals and the casual user.
Officer Josh Thompson of the 7th division, who was on the case, said the search led them to a house, and at that house, he was approached by a dog who took him to the missing child. The news we followed, the people we wanted to know, the culture we consumed — all this and more comes to light in Google’s “Year in Search” data. Google Maps renamed the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America in its app — but only for U.S. users.
- In October 2020, Google announced a new program known as “Showcases”, in which the company would pay publishers to curate featured news content displayed in branded panels on Google News and Discover.
- Created by Artem from newscatcherapi.com but you do not need anything from us or from anyone else to get the software going, it just works out of the box.

God knows I tried, but I still couldn’t find a news app that felt as comprehensive and as direct as Google News. I also experimented with a few apps that let you build your own news feed using RSS, like Feedly — there are plenty of such apps on the Play Store. The content density was just right, and so were the news types and overall quality (which I presumed would get better over time). I don’t know how broadly Google is showing these “trending topics” AI headlines yet, but it seems the company is testing them beyond the Google Discover news feed, too. I’ve seen fewer examples of egregious clickbait, partly because Google Discover is now serving me quite a few unadulterated news stories alongside its AI ones — though it does cut off their genuine headlines far too quickly, making many tough to read. Like I explained last month, these AI headlines are akin to a bookstore replacing the covers of the books it puts on display — only here, the “bookstore” is the news tab that appears when you swipe right on the homescreen of a Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel phone, and the “cover” might be a AI-generated lie instead of the truth.
